How many knights you can put on chess table $5 \times 5$ such that every one of them attacks exactly two other knights ?
The NIMO problem writers have invented a new chess piece called the Oriented Knight. This new chess piece has a limited number of moves: it can either move two squares to the right and one square upward or two squares upward and one square to the right. How many ways can the knight move from the bottom-left square to the top-right square of a $16\times 16$ chess board?
Proposed by Tony Kim and David Altizio
Let $n$ be an odd positive integer and consider an $n \times n$ chessboard of $n^2$ unit squares. In some of the cells of the chessboard, we place a knight. A knight in a cell $c$ is said to attack a cell $c'$ if the distance between the centers of $c$ and $c'$ is exactly $\sqrt{5}$ (in particular, a knight does not attack the cell which it occupies).
Suppose each cell of the board is attacked by an even number of knights (possibly zero). Show that the configuration of knights is symmetric with respect to all four axes of symmetry of the board (i.e. the configuration of knights is both horizontally and vertically symmetric, and also unchanged by reflection along either diagonal of the chessboard).
NIkolai Beluhov
A knight is modified so that it moves $p$ fields horizontally or vertically and $q$ fields in the perpendicular direction. It is placed on an infinite chessboard. If the knight returns to the initial field after $n$ moves, show that $n$ must be even.
An ant is on the Cartesian plane. In a single move, the ant selects a positive integer $k$, then either travels

$k$ units vertically (up or down) and $2k$ units horizontally (left or right); or

$k$ units horizontally (left or right) and $2k$ units vertically (up or down).
Thus, for any $k$, the ant can choose to go to one of eight possible points. \\ Prove that, for any integers $a$ and $b$, the ant can travel from $(0, 0)$ to $(a, b)$ using at most $3$ moves.
A knight is placed on each square of the first column of a $2017 \times 2017$ board. A move consists in choosing two different knights and moving each of them to a square which is one knight-step away. Find all integers $k$ with $1 \leq k \leq 2017$ such that it is possible for each square in the $k$-th column to contain one knight after a finite number of moves.
Note: Two squares are a knight-step away if they are opposite corners of a $2 \times 3$ or $3 \times 2$ board.
