Let $n \ge 2$ be an integer. There are $n$ beads numbered $1, 2, \ldots, n$. Two necklaces made out of some of these beads are considered the same if we can get one by rotating the other (with no flipping allowed). For example, with $n \ge 5$, the necklace with four beads $1, 5, 3, 2$ in the clockwise order is same as the one with $5, 3, 2, 1$ in the clockwise order, but is different from the one with $1, 2, 3, 5$ in the clockwise order. We denote by $D_0(n)$ (respectively $D_1(n)$) the number of ways in which we can use all the beads to make an even number (resp. an odd number) of necklaces each of length at least $3$. Prove that $n - 1$ divides $D_1(n) - D_0(n)$.

Find all functions $ f $ defined on real numbers and taking values in the set of real numbers such that $ f(x+y)+f(y+z)+f(z+x) \geq f(x+2y+3z) $ for all real numbers $ x,y,z $. [hide]There is an infinity of such functions. Every function with the property that $ 3 \inf f \geq \sup f $ is a good one. I wonder if there is a way to find all the solutions. It seems very strange.[/hide]

Carl chooses a functional expression* $E$ which is a finite nonempty string formed from a set $x_1, x_2, \dots$ of variables and applications of a function $f$, together with addition, subtraction, multiplication (but not division), and fixed real constants. He then considers the equation $E = 0$, and lets $S$ denote the set of functions $f \colon \mathbb R \to \mathbb R$ such that the equation holds for any choices of real numbers $x_1, x_2, \dots$. (For example, if Carl chooses the functional equation $$ f(2f(x_1)+x_2) - 2f(x_1)-x_2 = 0, $$ then $S$ consists of one function, the identity function. (a) Let $X$ denote the set of functions with domain $\mathbb R$ and image exactly $\mathbb Z$. Show that Carl can choose his functional equation such that $S$ is nonempty but $S \subseteq X$. (b) Can Carl choose his functional equation such that $|S|=1$ and $S \subseteq X$? *These can be defined formally in the following way: the set of functional expressions is the minimal one (by inclusion) such that (i) any fixed real constant is a functional expression, (ii) for any positive integer $i$, the variable $x_i$ is a functional expression, and (iii) if $V$ and $W$ are functional expressions, then so are $f(V)$, $V+W$, $V-W$, and $V \cdot W$. Niki and Kyle play a triangle game. Niki first draws $\triangle ABC$ with area $1$, and Kyle picks a point $X$ inside $\triangle ABC$. Niki then draws segments $\overline{DG}$, $\overline{EH}$, and $\overline{FI}$, all through $X$, such that $D$ and $E$ are on $\overline{BC}$, $F$ and $G$ are on $\overline{AC}$, and $H$ and $I$ are on $\overline{AB}$. The ten points must all be distinct. Finally, let $S$ be the sum of the areas of triangles $DEX$, $FGX$, and $HIX$. Kyle earns $S$ points, and Niki earns $1-S$ points. If both players play optimally to maximize the amount of points they get, who will win and by how much?
