Consider a $100\times 100$ square unit lattice $\textbf{L}$ (hence $\textbf{L}$ has $10000$ points). Suppose $\mathcal{F}$ is a set of polygons such that all vertices of polygons in $\mathcal{F}$ lie in $\textbf{L}$ and every point in $\textbf{L}$ is the vertex of exactly one polygon in $\mathcal{F}.$ Find the maximum possible sum of the areas of the polygons in $\mathcal{F}.$

Let $V$ be a convex polygon.
(a) Show that if $V$ has $3k$ vertices, then $V$ can be triangulated such that each vertex is in an odd number of triangles.
(b) Show that if the number of vertices is not divisible with 3, then $V$ can be triangulated such that exactly 2 vertices have an even number of triangles.
Let $n$ be a positive integer. A Nordic square is an $n \times n$ board containing all the integers from $1$ to $n^2$ so that each cell contains exactly one number. Two different cells are considered adjacent if they share a common side. Every cell that is adjacent only to cells containing larger numbers is called a valley. An uphill path is a sequence of one or more cells such that:
(i) the first cell in the sequence is a valley,
(ii) each subsequent cell in the sequence is adjacent to the previous cell, and
(iii) the numbers written in the cells in the sequence are in increasing order.
Find, as a function of $n$, the smallest possible total number of uphill paths in a Nordic square.

There are 2020 inhabitants in a town. Before Christmas, they are all happy; but if an inhabitant does not receive any Christmas card from any other inhabitant, he or she will become sad. Unfortunately, there is only one post company which offers only one kind of service: before Christmas, each inhabitant may appoint two different other inhabitants, among which the company chooses one to whom to send a Christmas card on behalf of that inhabitant. It is known that the company makes the choices in such a way that as many inhabitants as possible will become sad. Find the least possible number of inhabitants who will become sad.
